Casino Volunteers

By working one casino shift, you can raise roughly $2,000.00 for Norwood programs and services! This money has a huge impact on the supports we can provide to children under six and their parents.

Various positions and shifts are available. The work is easy and fun - casino staff guide you through all you need to know!

Board Members

Norwood is looking for two new board members! Previous governance experience either working with or serving on a board would be a definite asset in these positions.

Members of the Norwood’s Board of Directors are expected to provide leadership and direction in supporting the role and purpose of the Centre and to set governance policies which oversee and sustain the delivery of quality programming and services for the children and their families in the community.

As a Board member, you will act as a representative for the people and communities the agency serves. You will be an ambassador for the Centre’s work and are responsible for contributing to effective governance and oversight of the agency. You will be an active advocate who promotes the organization’s programs and supports Norwood’s overall purpose and mission.

One candidate should possess:

  • A moderate level of legal expertise and will possess analytical thought, demonstrate an understanding of risk exposure and mitigation, conflict management as well as the ability to work collaboratively.
     

One candidate should possess:

  • A moderate level of financial expertise, current knowledge of accounting practices and an accounting designation, preferably. This role can provide verifiable CPD hours.
