Volunteering is a great way to:

Come and support an agency that supports children under six and their families throughout Edmonton.

Volunteer on our Board of Directors

Norwood is looking for two new board members! Previous governance experience either working with or serving on a board would be a definite asset in these positions.

Members of Norwood Child and Family Resource Centre's Board of Directors provide leadership and direction in supporting the Centre's mission and vision, and set governance policies which oversee and sustain the delivery of quality programming and services for the children and their families in the community.

We are looking for one member with:

a moderate level of legal expertise, analytical thought, an understanding of risk exposure and mitigation, and conflict management, as well as the ability to work collaboratively.
 

and one member with:

a moderate level of financial expertise, current knowledge of accounting practices, and preferably an accounting designation. This role can provide verifiable CPD hours.

Volunteer at the C5 Community Market

Food insecurity in Edmonton has been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic. The C5 agencies have responded by developing a Community Market for those struggling. 

 

The Community Market provides over 700 families with fresh fruit and vegetables, milk, bread and other pantry necessities every other week, helping relieve some of the stress created by the pandemic and economic slowdown. 

Volunteers stock shelves, help clients in the store, or deliver food hampers for those who can't reach the store.
