Volunteer at Norwood

When community members pitch in to help, Norwood can provide even better programs, services and events!

As part of your volunteer experience, we provide the teaching, training, and tools to ensure you have a positive experience. Some of our volunteering roles will offer skills and experiences are transferable to your resume and future life endeavours. We do provide letters of reference as part of our volunteer recognition.
Volunteering is a great way to:
-
get involved in your community and meet new people
-
see how Norwood works behind the scenes
-
gain work experience

Norwood Child and Family Resource Centre, values diversity and welcomes applications from First Nations, Inuit, Métis, new Canadian, racialized, differently abled and 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.

Our Process
First thanks for applying!
We will review your application with your cover letter and resume, this happens within 3 business days of submission.

Then we email you to set up a time, that best works for you, for a phone interview. If it seems like a fit for us and you will feel fulfilled as a volunteer, we will invite you to the next volunteer orientation*. We will send you the required paperwork (emergency contact form, oath of confidentiality and criminal record check) for completion.

At volunteer orientation, we review the history of Norwood Centre along with our goals and types of volunteer opportunities available.

*For one off events or casino volunteers, it is not required to attend our orientation.
