Ubuntu works with children and families in North East Edmonton who have open Child and Family Services (CFS) files. It is a C5 initiative that brings together the expertise of the five agencies, each addressing their own area of expertise in a wraparound effort to help families heal.

Together, we can address the root causes of a family’s struggles and then identify flexible, culturally competent, community-based supports and services to help the family be healthy and stay together. We are always guided by Ubuntu’s core philosophy: the importance of the voice of persons served in decision making and goal setting.

Norwood's part in delivering upon that core philosophy is to hear, understand, and amplify the voices of the littlest persons involved, with the view of ensuring their best developmental outcomes for the long term.
