Building a Stronger CommunityNorwood Child and Family Resource Centre embarked on a project with the purpose of getting to know the community in which we work and serve. To achieve this goal, Norwood Centre’s Community Development Coordinator, along with volunteers from Norwood, went door to door to every house in the Alberta Avenue community.
This document provides an overview of that project and the information that community members shared with us.

Please Note:
Groups and Workshops that require registration are available to all community members. The Parent-Child Playgroups are available to Early Start Program participants. An Environmental Scan helps us understand our agency’s internal needs and assets and the external environment in which we operate. It also provides information that can support us in forming and/or confirming our vision, and identify our Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats. It is important we take MANY things into consideration right from what is happening globally right down to what is going on in our own community. We look at all kinds of things that will potentially have an impact on the agency over the next 5 to 10 years, not just the next 3 years.
