Participants can increase their knowledge of proper nutrition as well as make food that is simple yet nutritious and based on the Canada Food Guide during cooking groups. Parent-Child Literacy Programs A variety of Parent-Child literacy groups are offered throughout the year. Literacy Groups are a great time for parents and children to learn together, read books and strengthen basic literacy skills – words and numbers. Parent/Child Groups strengthen bonds and support families in making connections with other families. Participants are also connected to the public library and other community resources. Parent Groups and Workshops A variety of parent groups and workshops are offered throughout the year. The groups are open to all families with children in Norwood Child & Family Resource Centre programs.
