Healthy Families Program

Healthy Families is a long term home visitation program for first time “struggling” parents determined by a number of risk factors.

Involvement begins prenatally or before the baby is 3 months old.

Family Support Workers meet with families in their homes on a regular basis and answer questions about pregnancy, childbirth, and what to expect as their baby grows and develops.

They also help parents build on their strengths, develop new skills, and teach them how to connect to other community resources and supports.

Referrals for Edmonton and area are made through Early Childhood Development Support Services at (780) 428-9465.
